About Mr Gore
Introduction
After graduating from Cambridge University, I trained in Plastic Surgery in Sydney, London and East Anglia and have undergone further training with world experts in Europe, North America and Asia. I have completed four specialist fellowships in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery including an international head and neck surgery fellowship in Sydney.
My NHS practice has a specialist focus on complex facial reconstruction and head and neck surgery, including nasal reconstruction and partial laryngeal reconstruction. In private practice I undertake skin cancer treatment, treatment of lymphoedema (olp.surgery) and a broad range of aesthetic surgery. Beyond my many medical, surgical and research-based university degrees I have completed diplomas in Aesthetic Surgery and Medical Education.
I have published numerous articles within the field of plastic surgery. My current research interests include the role of sentinel node biopsy in melanoma, functional outcomes in complex head and neck reconstruction and aesthetic outcomes in reconstructive rhinoplasty.

School Graduation and Sporting Success
In 1991, Mr Gore completed his secondary education and achieved notable sporting success by winning the Irish Rowing Championships. This early accomplishment highlighted his commitment, discipline, and determination, qualities that would later define both his academic journey and his professional career in surgery.

That same year, Mr Gore began his medical training at Cambridge University, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. He studied at Jesus College, where the iconic entrance known as “The Chimney” became a familiar landmark during his years of intensive medical education.

Victory in the Cambridge Boat Race
In 1993, Mr Gore rowed in the world-famous Cambridge Boat Race, securing victory over an Oxford team that included several Olympians. The achievement carried added significance, coming 89 years after Sir Harold Gillies, widely regarded as the founder of modern plastic surgery, had himself rowed in the race. This milestone marked a unique connection between Mr Gore’s sporting triumph and the heritage of his future surgical specialty.

Medical Graduation and International Sailing Challenge
Mr Gore graduated from Cambridge University Medical School in 1996, gaining his medical degree and laying the foundation for his surgical career. That same year, he further demonstrated his appetite for challenge by successfully completing the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, one of the most demanding ocean races in the world.

Specialist Training in Plastic Surgery
Mr Gore entered the UK National Training Scheme in Plastic Surgery in 2006, which spanned five years and included placements in Cambridge, Stevenage, Norwich, and Chelmsford. This rigorous training exposed him to the full breadth of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, ensuring he developed a comprehensive expertise across the specialty.

Mr Gore was very professional throughout. He was clear on what he could achieve and what could not be achieved with the procedure that I wanted to have.
